History

Honorable Ex-MLA Shri. Baburaoji Adaskar saheb established Shri. Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society in 1956, to fulfill the educational requirements of the rural area students. As the years rolled, society established 19 schools, 01 polytechnic College, 01 CBSC English medium School, 04 Jr. Colleges and 02 senior colleges in Kaij, Dharur, Wadwani and Ambajogai Taluk’s in Beed District. Shri. Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society established Vasant Mahavidyalaya (Arts, Commerce and Science) in 1990 in Kaij to fulfill higher educational requirement of rural area students.

Shri. Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society, Adas has strived hard to achieve the following aims with Motto “Rakhavi Bahutanchi Antare ! Bhagya Yete Tadanantare!!” The meaning is that we should have a genuine concern for others and then only we would be prosperous.

To raise the educational standard of the students coming from rural areas, having poor financial resources by providing cheapest educational facilities in rural areas.
To provide education to socially and economically backward classes.

To bringing out social transformation through education.
To upliftment of educational standard of common people.

Miss. Gund Sungitta student of B. Sc. III was awarded by Benjogi Jalanawala prize for getting highest marks in Chemistry in 1999.
Mr. Khandare Prajyot Dinkarrao student of B. A. III was Awarded by Hanmant Gaikwad Memorial prize for getting higest marks in Economics in 2003
Dr. Fawde M.G. Associate Prof. Head department of Botany was Awarded as Best Programme Officer by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedka Marathwada University, Aurangabad. in the academic year 2005-06 for his outstanding work in NSS.
Best college Award was given by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedka Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 2005-2006 for NSS work.
Best rural college Championship trophy was given by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedka Marathwada University, Aurangabad for University Youth Festival activities in 2005.
Mr. Galphade Sunil Baburao student of B. A. III participate in interuniversity youth festival ‘Indradhanushya’ at Nagpur University and winning the third prize in Indian classical musics in 2006.
Mr. Hirve B. J. Asst. Prof. of Botany, was Awarded Waman Dada Kardak State level purskar, for social and educational work in 2010 by Milind social organization Shide, Tq, Dist. Nashik.

Libraray

Our college has well-equipped library with more than Ten thousands books, dictionaries, etc

Library Rules :

Every student entering the library premises must have valid college identity card. It must be produced as and when demanded for inspection.
Silence must be observed in the library college premises.
Two books at a time from the library will be issued to a student.
Book must be returned on or before due date.
Delaying in returning books or cutting out any matter or picture from the books or defecting or tearing the pages will be treated as misconduct. Defaulters will be strictly dealt with.
While receiving the books, the students must take note whether the book contains all the pages or it is in a good condition.
A special day is allotted to each class for disbursement of books.
Books are issued to the students should be returned before commencement of annual examination.
All students must obtain “No dues” certificate from the library before taking transfer certificate from the college

Reading Room

Complete silence and strict discipline are to be maintained in the library and study room.
Text books, reference books and journals will be issued to students against identity cards.
Students are not allowed to take books outside the reading room.
Students should not bring any outside with them in the reading room and library

Sport

Our college has well-equipped Physical education department. It provides facilities of in-door and out-door games. Deserving students in sports and games college gives incentives, prices, awards, travel concession, etc.

The students of our college participates in university, state and National level in different games and fletched in various awards, prizes, trophies, medals, etc are felicitated at the hands of the chief guest of the annual gathering.

A glimpse into the major sports events held in 2003-04 shows that students were exposed to a wide spectrum of activities in sports and games. The college students actively participated in the inter collegiate, University, state and National level games and sports such as Volley-ball, football, Kho-Kho, badminton, table-tennis, chess, cricket, cross country etc
