At Vasant Polytechnic College, Kaij, we believe that
each student is special and has the potential to excel in many different ways.
Touchstone of all our programmes is active engagement that nurtures individual
talent. We impart technical education with a difference even we work with in
constraints of All India Council for Technical Education & Technical Education
Board of Maharashtra. Through carefully crafted interaction and activities
within and outside the classroom, we provide experiences that help the students
discover innate capabilities, set life long goals and proactively work towards
their fulfillments.

About Vasant Polytechnic College | President of Shri, Chhatrapati Shivaji
Education Society, Adas, Honorable Ex-MLA Shri. Baburaogi Adaskar Saheb
established Vasant Mahavidyalaya (Arts, Commerce and Science) in 1990 in Kaij to
fulfill higher educational requirement of rural area students. The College is a
grant in aid institution and it is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar

Vasant Polytechnic College has been established by Shri Shivaji
Educational Trust (Kaij), and is approved by AICTE. We at Vasant Polytechnic,
aim at providing sound Technical Knowledge and Broad Vision to the technocrats
of future, as we believe that for a successful tomorrow, attitude is equally
important as ability. Vasant Polytechnic has been founded in the year 2009, and
is offering courses in Computer, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
Vasant Polytechnic is providing career-oriented education to the
students so as to equip them with requisite, qualification and training. This
will enable them either to take up a gainful employment or start their own
enterprise and become self-sufficient. The Institute has adequate infrastructure
to cater to the needs of courses being offered including a full-fledged library
and computer lab. Vasant Polytechnic is totally alive to the needs and
aspirations of the student community and keeps itself abreast of the changes
taking place on the industrial front of the country.
Vasant Polytechnic has trained, competent and highly dedicated faculty to impart
theoretical as well as practical training to the students, Regular involvement
of the expert outside faculty from reputed institutions and organizations help

Educational Qualification for First Year:
To be eligible for
admission to first year of diploma course in Engineering / Technology, the
candidates should have: - Passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC)
examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary
Education, or any other equivalent examination with and in
1. General Science
or Physics & Chemistry, 2. Mathematics or Algebra & Geometry and 3. English.
- Secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized school in
Maharashtra State.
Note: The term 'Aggregate Marks' used
here shall mean the grand total marks obtained by the candidate, taken together
for all the subjects, whether compulsory or optional.

Candidate Passing Std. VIII / IX / X examination from a recognized School
situate outside Maharashtra State. AND
Father / Mother of the candidate is a central Govt. / Govt. of India Undertaking
employee who is posted in Maharashtra and reported for duty before the last date
for submitting of application form. |

Father / Mother of the candidate is a Maharashtra State Govt. / Maharashtra
State Govt. undertaking employee who is transferred from other state to
Maharashtra and reported for duty in Maharashtra State OR returned from
deputation to other state back to Maharashtra and reported for duty in
Maharashtra before the last date for submission of application form. |

– E (Maharashtra State Candidate) (Sons and daughters of Maharashtra
State Govt. / Maharashtra State Govt. undertaking / Central Govt. / Govt. of
India Undertaking employee who is transferred to a place in another district and
the candidate intends to shift to the District where the Father / Mother are
posted) |
Candidate Passing Std. VIII, IX and X examination from a recognized School in
Maharashtra State. AND Father /
Mother of the candidate is a State Govt. / State Govt. Undertaking / Central
Govt. / Govt. of India Undertaking employee who is transferred to a place in
another District from the place of passing of qualifying examination of their
children in Maharashtra and reported for duty before the last date for
submitting of application form. |
Note:
- Candidate has to claim only one type of candidature (A, B,
C, D & E) while submitting the application form.
- Claiming facility
under type B, C, D & E is optional. However it is binding on the candidate to
produce all the documentary proof along with the application form to claim the
facility.

Reservation for sons / daughters of defense Service Personnel:
Five percent (5%) seats of the total sanctioned intake for Polytechnic, subject
to a maximum of five (5) seats in each Government, Government Aided and Unaided
Polytechnics shall be reserved for children of defense service personnel and
ex-defense service personnel including those permanently disabled or killed in
action. |
Reservation for female candidates:
As per the
provisions in Govt. Resolution No. GEC-1000/ (123/2000)/ Tech. Edu. - 1, dated
17th April, 2000, 30% seats shall be reserved for female candidates in all the
Government, Govt.-Aided and Un-Aided Polytechnics in all the courses. |
Provision of 15% seats for candidates passing SSC examination with Technical /
Vocational Subjects: - 15% seats of the sanctioned intake, course
wise, shall be reserved for the candidates passing Std. X examination with
Technical / Vocational subjects as prescribed by the Directorate of Vocational
Education, Maharashtra State.
- For deciding the merit of such
candidates, the marks scored by the candidate in the SSC Examination, without
considering the marks scored by the candidate in the Technical / Vocational
subjects, shall be considered.

Admission under Linguistic Minority Status (Hindi Speaking Minority Community): -
The sanctioned intake seats will be filled from amongst the eligible candidates
from Hindi speaking Minority Community.
- The candidates have to submit
an affidavit for minority status on a Rs.100/- non-judicial stamp paper.

Original domicile certificate of the candidate of Maharashtra State.

Libraray
Our college has well-equipped library with more than Ten thousands books,
dictionaries, etc
Library Rules :
- Every student entering the library premises must
have valid college identity card. It must be produced as and when demanded for
inspection.
- Silence must be observed in the library college
premises.
- Two books at a time from the library will be issued
to a student.
- Book must be returned on or before due date.
- Delaying in returning books or cutting out any
matter or picture from the books or defecting or tearing the pages will be
treated as misconduct. Defaulters will be strictly dealt with.
- While receiving the books, the students must take
note whether the book contains all the pages or it is in a good condition.
- A special day is allotted to each class for
disbursement of books.
- Books are issued to the students should be returned
before commencement of annual examination.
- All students must obtain “No dues” certificate from the library before taking
transfer certificate from the college
